A long-term course design partnership with RMIT Online

After initial pilots, Curio and RMIT Online established a standing learning-design agreement that enabled more than 15 course-development and support projects between January 2020 and May 2021 alone.

The challenge

RMIT Online was growing quickly, but commissioning every course as an isolated procurement exercise slowed the portfolio. The organisation needed a partner it already trusted and could engage through scoped statements of work as priorities changed.

The model still had to protect quality and work closely with RMIT Online's internal product-development team.

The approach

Pilot engagements established the working relationship before a long-term agreement was signed. Under that arrangement, projects could begin through individual scopes without repeating the full vendor-selection process.

Curio supported both new development and improvement of courses already in market.

What Curio delivered

  • Future Skills courses across digital transformation, marketing, cybersecurity, law and emerging technology
  • Customer Value Solutions and Analytics learning
  • Blended-learning capability modules
  • Curriculum and content development
  • Assessment design and quality assurance
  • Subject-matter-expert support
  • First-run course remediation
  • Collaboration with RMIT Online product teams

The result
