The challenge
MBS was delivering a leadership course through Canvas for a corporate client. The standard Canvas enrolment flow couldn't provide the straightforward registration experience the program required.
Adding a generic form would have shifted manual work to administrators and left learners moving between disconnected systems. MBS needed a purpose-built route from registration to an active Canvas account and course enrolment.
The approach
Curio's user-experience and software-development teams worked with MBS to clarify requirements and test feasibility. Two high-level solution concepts were developed and presented with their respective benefits and trade-offs.
Once MBS selected an approach, Curio refined it through workflows, low- and high-fidelity designs and a technical architecture. The resulting prototype was tested and revised before deployment.
What Curio delivered
- A mobile-responsive registration interface
- Automated Canvas account creation and course enrolment
- Integration through supported Canvas API endpoints
- Azure serverless functions to reduce infrastructure overhead
- Detailed workflows, interface designs and architecture documentation
- Testing and implementation within the agreed delivery window
The result
The solution was delivered within the client's timeframe and budget. More than 600 learners registered and accessed the leadership course during the first month.
