Case study

A curriculum portal for the Institute of Positive Education

Curio co-designed and built a WordPress curriculum portal that gave the Institute of Positive Education a direct, manageable way to publish research-based resources for educators.

Client
Institute of Positive Education, Geelong Grammar School
Sector
Schools and professional learning
Platform
WordPress
Services
Co-design, UX, WordPress development, hosting and enablement
Initiative
Positive Education Enhanced Curriculum portal
Duration
Approximately four months

The challenge

The Institute held valuable research-based curriculum material but lacked a straightforward way to publish and maintain it for educators. Dependence on technical intermediaries made updates slower and limited the Institute's ability to manage its own resources.

The approach

Curio used iterative design workshops to shape the portal with the Institute rather than treating it as a standard website build. The content-management experience mattered as much as the public interface: the Institute needed to publish and update material confidently after launch.

What Curio delivered

  • Co-design and iterative workshops
  • Information architecture and user experience
  • A WordPress-based content-management system
  • The Positive Education Enhanced Curriculum portal
  • Hosting and technical implementation
  • Training for internal administrators
  • Continuing support after launch

The result

The Institute gained a direct publishing channel for its curriculum expertise and the internal capability to manage resources without creating a technical bottleneck for every update.
