The challenge
Continuing professional development must respond to changing professional roles, member expectations and technology. Incremental improvements to individual courses couldn't answer the larger questions facing CPA Australia: what its future offer should contain, how members should navigate development, and what systems and operating model would support it.
CPA Australia needed a connected view of its future learning ecosystem rather than another set of isolated platform or content recommendations.
The approach
Curio combined capability-framework research with learning-product and ecosystem design. The work considered how microcredentials, on-demand assessment, member data and personalised learning could support professional development over time.
Recommendations extended beyond the learner-facing offer to the structures required inside the education division.
What Curio delivered
- Capability-framework research and analysis
- Concepts for microcredentials and on-demand assessment
- A future-state digital learning ecosystem
- A role for data analytics and machine learning in personalisation
- Recommendations for renewal of the CPA Program
- A target operating model for the member education division
- A five-year strategic roadmap
The result
CPA Australia received an integrated strategy and roadmap connecting its professional-development offer with the technology, data and operating capabilities required to deliver it.
