RMIT Online was growing quickly, but commissioning every course as an isolated procurement exercise slowed the portfolio. The organisation needed a partner it already trusted and could engage through scoped statements of work as priorities changed.
The model still had to protect quality and work closely with RMIT Online's internal product-development team.
Pilot engagements established the working relationship before a long-term agreement was signed. Under that arrangement, projects could begin through individual scopes without repeating the full vendor-selection process.
Curio supported both new development and improvement of courses already in market.
More than 15 course-development and support projects were delivered between January 2020 and May 2021. The relationship expanded from early pilots into course design and large-scale online-facilitation work.
