Metropolitan College wanted to improve how its Moodle environment looked and worked. Moodle Workplace is more constrained than open-source Moodle, so an attractive prototype would have little value if it depended on unsupported functionality.
The College needed a design that reflected its identity, worked within the platform and could be managed by its own team after handover.
Curio clarified Moodle Workplace's constraints early and adapted a theme foundation previously created for LSE rather than beginning from an empty system. The engagement moved through Align, Discover, Design, Develop and Handover.
Staff co-design workshops informed high-fidelity Figma prototypes before theme development and implementation.
Metropolitan College gained a branded Moodle Workplace environment built for production constraints, supported by the design artefacts and internal knowledge needed for continued operation.
