Building a shared careers micro-credential across five universities for ATN

The challenge

ATN members had mapped valuable careers-focused experiences and assembled much of the content. What they didn't yet have was a single learning journey that felt coherent for students from five different universities.

Multi-institution projects introduce additional design challenges: different contexts, stakeholders, systems and expectations must resolve into one experience without losing the purpose of the collaboration.

The approach

Curio worked from the mapped experiences and existing material, sequencing and refining it around a clear careers-development journey. Shared design decisions created consistency across the program while allowing it to serve students from different institutions.

What Curio delivered

  • Review and synthesis of existing content
  • A shared microcredential structure
  • A sequenced careers-development journey
  • Consistent language and learner experience
  • Activities applicable across institutions
  • A complete program for ATN member universities

The result

ATN received a finished careers microcredential that could operate as a shared experience across its member institutions rather than five loosely connected collections of content.
